Child Health Research, the Key to a Healthier European Society
On the 30th and 31st May 2013, two CREAL Radiation Programme researchers attended the 2013 Child Health Research Conference which was hosted at Dublin City University, in Dublin, Ireland.
The objectives of the conference were to launch the final reports from the RICHE project and the CHICOS study, to celebrate and showcase EU-funded research on child health, and to make a case for further investment in child health research.
Conference attendees included scientific researchers, members of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Irish Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, and the Health Lead from DG Research Commissioner Maura Geoghegan-Quinn's cabinet.
Two posters were presented by CREAL Radiation Programme researchers. Magda Bosch de Basea presented a poster entitled "EPI-CT: design and epidemiological methods of an international study on cancer risks after paediatric CT". Chelsea Eastman presented a poster entitled "MOBI-Kids: Study on Communication Technology, Environment, and Brain Tumours in Young People." Both posters are available for download at the links below.
